The WMC Hellenic Series 2025, part of the prestigious World Muaythai Council (WMC) Championship, concluded with great success at the Pantelis Nikolaidis Indoor Arena, reaffirming the rapid growth and solid foundation of Muaythai in Greece.

The action-packed event featured 29 thrilling bouts, including 21 youth matches held under official IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Associations) rules for athletes under 18. These matches showcased the discipline, skill, and passion of Greece’s next generation of Muaythai athletes.

Adding to the excitement, 8 adult bouts were held—6 under Pro-Am rules and 2 professional-level contests—delivering high-caliber performances that captivated a full house of enthusiastic spectators. These bouts further underscored the technical excellence and competitive spirit that continue to elevate Greek Muaythai on the international stage.

The championship was honored by the attendance of H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Greece, symbolizing the deep cultural and diplomatic ties between Greece and Thailand, united through the shared heritage of Muaythai. Mr. Eustratios Daskalakis, Deputy Mayor for Sports of Keratsini-Drapetsona, was also present, reinforcing the critical role of local government in supporting youth development and martial arts programs.

A particularly meaningful moment during the event was the celebration of the 7th anniversary of the Panhellenic Muaythai Federation’s (PMF) official recognition by the Greek Ministry of Sports and the Hellenic Olympic Committee. The celebration was made even more special as it coincided with the birthday of PMF President Mr. Ioannis Papadopoulos, whose visionary leadership has been central to the continued growth and international success of Greek Muaythai.

The day was marked by outstanding organization, high-level competition, and a respectful, energetic atmosphere that reflected the values of unity, professionalism, and sportsmanship. The Panhellenic Muaythai Federation extended heartfelt thanks to all athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the event’s resounding success.

In recognition of this milestone event, both IFMA and WMC expressed their congratulations to the PMF for its exceptional work and development efforts. They also extended warm birthday wishes to President Mr. Ioannis Papadopoulos, acknowledging his instrumental role in shaping the future of Muaythai in Greece.

With continued community support and growing international recognition, Greek Muaythai is poised for an even brighter and more dynamic future—both nationally and on the world stage.
