After losing the top spot in 2011, 2012 and at the 2013 World Combat Games, Thailand has made a comeback this year winning the Best Team trophy.
Kajorn Prowsri, Vice President of the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand under royal patronage stated “The Thai national team have been on a very strict training regimen for the past 6 months. After having lost the top spot 3 years in a row the pride of the nation was at stake.”
Thailand will now launch into preparations for the upcoming Asian Beach Games and know that muaythai is truly an international sport an d it will now take extra hard work to hold on to the number one spot.
