Respect, honour, tradition, excellence, and fair-play, the pillars of Muaythai, are evident here as Australian muaythai superstar, Caley Reece, sits down for lunch with her Peruvian counterpart, Valentina Shevchenko.
The two have a long history together as they both met in the ring once in the women’s 60KG finals of the 2010 World Combat Games in Beijing. Valentina came away with the victory, but both fighters gained each other’s respect after the fight.
Caley is training in Thailand for her next big fight against Germany’s Dilara Yildiz, who participated in the 57 KG division at the recent IFMA World Championships in Malaysia. Valentina also just fought at the event in Malaysia and took home the gold in the 60KG division.
