Introducing Hasan Yildiz

The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) proudly introduces Hasan Yildiz, a valued member of our Executive Committee and our European Federation’s President. He acknowledges that without the unwavering support of his family and the robust Turkish Muaythai Federation, many of his achievements would not have been possible. Hasan firmly believes that teamwork is paramount to success. He emphasises that the collaborative efforts of his colleagues have been crucial in driving Muaythai’s growth and success. For Hasan, the synergy of working together as a team is the cornerstone of achieving such outstanding results in the sport.

Hasan’s journey in muaythai is a testament to his dedication, skill, and visionary leadership. Starting his sports career at the tender age of 8, Hasan has worn many hats, each role contributing significantly to his profound impact on the sport. Hasan’s contributions to Turkish muaythai are monumental. He played a crucial role in founding the Muaythai Federation in Turkey, laying the groundwork for the sport’s development, growth and fostering a thriving muaythai community. His tenure as a national athlete, national coach, and national technical director have been pivotal in developing his strategic vision and leadership ethos which together have fostered a robust infrastructure for muaythai in Turkey, nurturing a new generation of athletes who continue to make their mark globally.

One of Hasan’s most significant achievements is his unwavering commitment to gender equality in muaythai. He has been a staunch advocate for female athletes, ensuring they have access to top-notch training and opportunities. His efforts have not only empowered women in Turkey but have also set a precedent on the international stage, driving the sport towards greater inclusivity and equality. Through his initiatives, female muaythai athletes have gained the recognition and support needed to excel, inspiring many young girls to pursue the sport.

Hasan’s influence extends far beyond Turkey and his numerous achievements have not gone unnoticed. His international acclaim is evidenced by the numerous awards and recognitions he has received. As a National Athlete and National Coach, he has been honored with State Outstanding Athlete Achievement awards, a testament to his excellence and contribution to sports. His pursuit of knowledge and excellence took him to courses and seminars across the globe, including England, Germany, the United States, Thailand, Australia, and several European countries. This global exposure has enriched his perspective and enhanced his ability to contribute to muaythai’s growth worldwide.

Hasan’s leadership capabilities are highlighted by his roles in various organisations. As the Deputy President of the Turkish Muaythai Federation, he played a vital role in its operations before being elected President at the 4th Ordinary and 5th Financial General Assembly on November 1, 2021. His influence extends to the Mediterranean Muaythai Union (MMU) as Vice President, the International Muaythai Federation (IFMA) Executive Committee as a member, and the European Muaythai Federation (EMF) as President. These roles underscore his strategic importance and his commitment to advancing muaythai on all fronts.

Apart from his sports achievements, Hasan is also a successful businessman. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Management and Organisation. He applies his business acumen to the tourism, travel, and organisation management sectors through his company. Hasan’s extensive experience as a founding member, manager, and chairman of numerous non-governmental organisations has significantly complemented his skill set for leading a Continental Federation like the European Muaythai Federation (EMF). His adeptness at navigating organisational dynamics, fostering community engagement, and driving strategic initiatives has enriched his leadership capabilities. This background has equipped him with a unique perspective and the necessary expertise to effectively steer the EMF, promoting muaythai’s growth and development across Europe with strategic vision and collaborative spirit. Fluent in English and Arabic, Hasan’s communication skills enhance his effectiveness in his various roles, allowing him to connect with a wide range of stakeholders and advance muaythai’s interests globally.
