PUTRAJAYA – Malaysia is gearing up for their annual “Festival Belia Putrajaya,” which is a festival that aims to showcase the collective talent of the youths and spark inspiration through various workshops, activities, and events. The Malaysian National Muaythai Federation, which is fully recognized by the Malaysian government and Malaysian Olympic Committee, will be taking part again in this festival by promoting and organizing a muaythai workshop.

Dato’ Shahnaz Azmi, President of the Malaysian National Muaythai Federation is stating that the youth development is one of the most important tasks in life and sport.

Malaysia just hosted the World Championship 2014, and the Malaysian youth national team were the overall winners of the Championship. Dato’Shah stated that this was a proud moment for Malaysia and that the sport is safe.

The Good Morning Putrajaya  Workshop will be conducted by Nugget McNaught, one of the celebrity trainers of the Emmy awarded reality show, Challenger Muaythai, and Nugget will bring along some of the world-class fighters participating in the upcoming Evolution Muaythai show in Kuala Lumpur on the 21st of May. The Good Morning Putrajaya Workshop will focus on Muaythai as a way of life, the culture, as well as the health benefits the sport has to offer.

With muaythai gradually gaining popularity and momentum worldwide, it is great to see people practicing this martial art not only for competition, but for fitness and physical and mental wellbeing as well. This not only promotes muaythai, but also the popular belief of “sport for all,” where everyone is welcome to be a participant.
