Darwin National Airport welcomed first muaythai teams early this morning with delegations from Vietnam, Austria, IFMA officials arriving for the Arafura Games 2019. It has been five year since the last IFMA senior world championships have been held and qualifications are done all over the world.
15 combat sports with participants from over 100 countries will take part at this prestigious event under patronage of GAISF, the Korean Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Korea.
The 7-day event will bring together Olympic and non-Olympic combat sports, Judo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Ju-Jitsu, Sambo, Muaythai, Wushu, Sawate just to name a few.
IFMA already has participated in the 2016 Masterships and the 2017 Youth Masterships.
The event is part of the qualification round robin for 2021 World Games.
