Lausanne 12 November 2012 – SportAccord’s strategic alliance partner WomenWin has just launched the International Guide to Designing Sport Programs 2.0 – a practical tool aimed at improving girls’ participation in sport.

This collaboratively-authored platform is the product of 5 years of sport, women’s rights and development organisations sharing information about how to build a sport programme that serves the needs of girls. Thanks to deep inquiry and collaboration from the field, it’s full of new insights on building life skills, engaging boys, retaining girls through adolescence, creating safe spaces and more.

The platform invites programme designers, coaches and directors to browse ideas and videos and share what you know on the issues. Self-assessment tools give organisations an opportunity to see how they measure up on gender inclusion and child protection.

SportAccord Members can find the International Guide to Designing Sport Programs 2.0 at www.GirlSportGuides.org. All are welcome to join the WomenWin community that is actively working to build better sports opportunities for girls.
