The date was chosen to honor the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of human rights and one of the first major achievements of the new United Nations.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is an international document adopted by the United Nations General Assembly that enshrines the rights and freedoms of all human beings. UTS strives in our daily work to protect,educate and ensure the human rights of our youth are upheld.
This year may be a challenge for us all, but it is one that we will continue to overcome-together.
