The IFMA awards gala awarded nominees in many different categories. The nominees in the category of Best TV Show included The Contender Asia, The Challenger Muaythai, WMC Muaythai Warriors, The Silk Road Cup and Challenger Elite. Presenting the award on the evening was H.E. Giberto Fonseca Guimarães de Moura, Ambassador of Brazil to Thailand.

The growth and development of sport not only lies in the building of athletes, teams and officials. Through television and digital media the sport of muaythai has been popularised around the world. Reality shows have allowed the fans to experience the daily struggles, victories and defeats of muaythai athletes while broadcast of live events have brought the electrifying atmosphere of stadiums into the living rooms of millions of households.

The winner of the 2015 IFMA Awards Best TV Show was announced as The Challenger Muaythai and the show’s host and mentor Stephan Fox accepted the award stating that the award truly belonged to the show’s contestants whom shared their weekly journey; their dreams hopes and sacrifices with viewers. He said it was this that made the show such a success. He especially thanked Mr Riaz Mehta founder and CEO of Imagine OmniMedia (IOM), Dato Shahnaz Azmi, President of the Malaysian Muaythai Association for the show’s creation and production; and Tourism Selangor and Selangor State Government, especially YB Elizabeth Wong for their unwavering support.
