The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Morocco, Mr. Darm Boontham received the President of the Moroccan Royal Muaythai Federation Mr. Abdulkarim Elhilali, who was accompanied by the Honorary President and IFMA Vice President Mr. Driss Elhilali and other members of the executive board of the federation at the Embassy in the nation’s capital, Rabat.
This reception came on the heels of the conclusion of the successful first ever National Virtual Championships which was organised by the Royal Moroccan Federation from July 05th 2020 to July 15th, 2020. As a show of support and admiration for the event and its spirit of creating opportunity for sport and competition in these challenging times, the Embassy presented the awarding Trophies and prizes to the finalists of the event.
This first ever national championship of its kind was organised in preparation for and to select the national team to represent the Kingdom of Morocco at the IFMA World Virtual Championship to be organised this coming October. The event was organised according to the new competition format, rules and regulations of the Virtual Championship, which was the wonderful result of a special training course for the benefit of all technical officials and referees who arbitrated all its stages.
