The countdown is on! With just one month to go before The World Games 2025 kick off in Chengdu, China, the energy across the global Muaythai community is electric. Athletes who have battled through years of qualification events are now entering the final and most intense phase of their training camps, sharpening their minds and bodies for one of the biggest stages in international sport.

Muaythai at The World Games has always been more than just combat—it’s about culture, unity, and the power of tradition. This year’s edition promises to be even more momentous as it coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and China under the theme “The Golden Jubilee of Thailand–China Friendship.” Both in and beyond the ring, expect a vibrant showcase of Muaythai’s cultural richness through performances, ceremonies, and exchange programs, highlighting the deep friendship between these two proud nations.

Director General Charissa Tynan shared her thoughts on the milestone moment: “Watching these athletes grow and evolve through years of qualifications has been nothing short of inspiring. Their commitment, discipline, and heart embody the true spirit of Muaythai. To witness them now—just a step away from representing their countries in Chengdu at their very best—fills me with pride. I can’t wait to see the culmination of all their hard work come to life in and out of the ring.”
Get ready, Chengdu. Muaythai is bringing its power, passion, and heritage to the heart of The World Games 2025.
