Dear IFMA Family,
On behalf of the IFMA Executive, I would like to wish you health and happiness for the year to come. We all had to face many challenges in 2020 but with IFMA’s solidarity we have grown closer together and have turned many of the challenges into opportunities and most importantly, we kept our athletes and members united. Our #MuaythaiConnects left no one alone and no passports or visas were required. It was important for us to continue to promote the unique ‘Muaythai way of life’ and over 30,000 youth participated in our historical first Virtual World Championship.
I can only thank all of you for your commitment and also the support we have received from the Olympic Movement, especially the IOC. As IOC President, Thomas Bach, stated, “We are all looking forward to the Olympic year 2021 and let these Olympic Games be the light at the end of the tunnel. Let it be a celebration of solidarity and unity.” We must continue to work in solidarity and let us continue to give opportunities to our athletes and youth.
We are looking forward to the post-corona world and until then, we will engage via the virtual platform and will be planning, at the same time, for the many upcoming events.
In the spirit of muaythai, we wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous year ahead.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay connected.
