More than 500 athletes from 21 states in India submitted their application to participate in the official qualifiers for the Youth World Championships in Antalya, Turkey 28 Sep – 6 Oct.

The growth of popularity of muaythai in India is truly impressive and so much attention to the youth development and grass root sport already gave its fruits at the Arafura Games in Australia where the an athlete from India Anil Kumar Mehta made the headlines in the Australian press and won the Rising Star award from IFMA.
Anil became a true inspiration for the kids competing National Youth Championships and motivate to show the best version of themselves in Turkey.
Last year Indian youth made great effort winning 3 silver and two bronze medals. The leadership of the Indian Muaythai are now setting a goal to win the first historical gold for their country.
