It is with great sadness that IFMA has learnt of the tragic loss of life and devastation caused by the earthquake which has struck the southern region of Turkiye and Syria.

Our deepest condolences to all families and athletes who have lost loved ones. We wish all those who have been injured a full recovery and we salute the brave and tireless rescue teams working around the clock and in freezing temperatures in the race to find survivors.

We commend our Turkish Muaythai Federation in their own efforts towards the rescue efforts in the 11 cities devastated by the earthquake.

IFMA will be holding its European Championships in Turkiye wiht a postponement announced today from the original dates of 21-18 February to 21-28 March, and the IFMA global community stands in solidarity and muaythai spirit with our brothers and sisters in Turkiye and Syria at this most challenging time.
