We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Maciej Skupinski, a beloved member of the Muaythai community and a hero to his native Poland. At just 45 years old, Maciej was taken from us far too soon.

Maciej was an integral part of the Polish Muaythai National Team alongside Rafal Simonides. Together they achieved numerous accolades, but none more impressive than when Maciej became the first ever world IFMA Champion from Poland in 2003, after winning gold at the World Championships in Kazakhstan. His incredible success made him an ambassador for Muaythai and earned him national recognition in his home country.

Upon hearing of his death, friends from all across Poland came together to pay their respects and say their farewells. Maciej will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him and was blessed to have such a passionate warrior amongst them during his lifetime.

The Muaythai community mourns this tragic loss and we will never forget Maciej’s remarkable achievements as well as his unwavering dedication to our sport. Rest in peace, champion.
