A productive meeting took place between IFMA’s Social Responsibility Unit and UN Women’s UNiTE Asia Pacific team to discuss further cooperation. IFMA has been proud partners with UN Women especially in their UNiTE to End Violence Against Women Campaign since the signing of the MoU in 2013, which has led to worldwide awareness campaigns, through events, national federations and athletes.
Ms Ornwipa Rugkhla, the Campaign Coordinator for Asia-Pacific confirmed UN Women’s active participation in the upcoming Youth World Championship 2016 in August, with a cultural program involving the international young athletes and local schools in Bangkok, interactive workshops, a booth set up and a special award for the Gala night.
UN Women will also be heavily involved in IFMA’s other events throughout the year, including developing an education module for IFMA’s higher education curriculum.
IFMA looks forward to building and cooperating with UN Women in their UNiTE and HeforShe campaign, in social projects and events, also lending it’s athletes and champions to use their voice and example to bring awareness and positive change to society and the world.
