The IFMA General Assembly had the by-election with two important seats to fill, namely the IFMA Vice President position and one Executive Board Seat.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the host of the World Combat Games 2023, has taken enormous steps forward in the last 5 years on all levels in the implementation of far reaching social and lifestyle changes. The promotion of physical and social well-being, a healthy lifestyle and sport plays an important part of that vision.
The Saudi Muaythai Federation under the leadership of HRH Prince Fahad Bin Mansour bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud has implemented this vision of HRH the Crown Prince, especially within their youth development and gender equality programs and initiatives.
History was made during the IFMA World Championships 2023 as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won their first Gold Medal in the female division by Hattan Alsaif. The history books continued to be written as Saudi won an additional 4 bronze medals in a competition which was comprised of more than 100 countries. HRH Prince Fahad Bin Mansour bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud played an important part in this success as over the last 5 years, the Saudi Muaythai Federation has spent developing muaythai from the grassroots level in close cooperation with the National Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On and off the field of play, the national federation has become an ambassador for sport and change in the Kingdom very much within the strategical framework of IFMA. This is why the IFMA General Assembly unanimously voted for HRH Prince Fahad Bin Mansour bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud to become the Vice President of IFMA and through his expertise, knowledge and personality, the IFMA Family will continue to move towards further excellence.
The IFMA Family and the 150 national federations welcome HRH Prince Fahad Bin Mansour bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud as the new Vice President.
