The Chairman of the Belarus Muaythai Federation General Yuriy Karaev was appointed the Minister of Internal Affairs. The President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the appointment wishing the best of luck to the new Minister.
Two years ago Belarus held an outstanding World Championships in its capital Minsk under the leadership of General Karaev. The newly appointed Minister made this event one of the most attended IFMA championships filling the Minsk Palace of Sport to the bursting point.

 

2019 will again see the European muaythai elite taking the central stage for the European Championships and the Minister Karayev will be the one welcoming the guests at the opening ceremony.

 
Belarus team truly shined in 2017 winning the Best Team award for their Federation, Chairman and all Belarus muaythai followers. This year Belarus athletes will have ambitious plans for their home European Championships.

 
IFMA congratulates General Karaev and this important post will only be another big challenge for the leader of one of the strongest muaythai nations in the world.
