Bangkok is the host of APEC 2022 where the leaders of the Asia-Pacific regions gather for important meetings and conferences towards promoting sustainable economic growth, trade and investment, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
The UTS World Youth Festival was held in parallel with this important event where Youth Ambassadors from the Olympic, Paralympic and Special Olympic movement gathered for a week fo cultural and sporting exchange.
16th of November is the United Nations World Tolerance Day, and it was muaythai’s Youth Ambassador Bassam Murthasa who took centre stage to address the delegates in attendance.
Bassam made a powerful and inspirational speech far beyond his years and received a standing ovation for his call to action to the youth of the world towards building a better tomorrow.
