Muaythai was once again one of the main attractions of the UAE Thai Festival 2023 held from 16-18th of February in Abu Dhabi at Sheikha Fatima Park.
His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Amer Al Neyadi, the President of the UAE Muaythai Federation and President of the Asian Federation, FAMA, once again showed his pride on the 3-day event which had over 200 athletes from the entire Emirates of all ages participating.
The event saw the highest members of the Royal family in participation including Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and the Ambassador of Thailand to UAE, His Excellency Surayut Chasombat, certainly showed his pride not only on the popularity of muaythai in UAE but also on such support from the highest level.
Tareq Mohamed Al Mehairi, Executive Director of the UAE Muaythai Federation and IFMA Executive Board Member, stated, “UAE is one of the leading IFMA federations and proudly held the IFMA World Championships in 2022. We have a big announcement coming soon for the IFMA and FAMA Family.”
