Recently, Monika claimed one of the most significant victories of her career in her hometown of Trenčín, Slovakia, in front of a sold-out arena. The bout was a highly anticipated rematch against Somratsamee, the opponent who had previously defeated her in Bangkok at Thailand’s most prestigious venue, Rajadamnern Stadium, in front of over 3,000 spectators.
Recognized as two of the best athletes in their division, Monika and Somratsamee delivered an electrifying, world-class performance. Fueled by the unwavering support of her country and the meticulous preparation of a true champion, Monika secured a unanimous decision victory, reclaiming her dominance.
Speaking live on television, Monika expressed her gratitude and admiration for her opponent, saying: “The World Muaythai Council, under royal patronage, is undoubtedly one of the most respected organizations in the sport. Winning this belt in front of my family, fans, and the entire nation is one of the greatest moments of my career. All respect must go to Somratsamee, who traveled to Slovakia and experienced first-hand that the atmosphere outside of Thailand can be just as, if not more, electrifying than in the motherland.”
