A special junior event was held on December 5 in memory of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the 9th Rama at the beautiful setting of Lumpinee Park, Bangkok. Some of the most outstanding junior fighters were invited to participate in this special event to showcase the future of Muaythai.

The three main trophies went to:

• The cup for most outstanding athlete over 12, donated by HE Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul the Minister of Tourism and Sport, Thailand, went to Azrizal Azizul Bin Azman (Malaysia).
• The cup for most outstanding athlete under 12, donated by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee General Chetta Thanajaro was awarded to Rakmuangthai Sitchaigrung (Thailand).

• The trophy for the most outstanding Wai Kru of the night, donated by UNESCO went to Ramadan Ondash (Lebanon).

IFMA President, Dr Sakchye Tapsuwan, stated that –

It was a memorable event for everyone involved with the crown filling capacity, it was run unforgettable evening for the participants and definitely for the spectators.
