
The Iraqi Muaythai Federation, fully recognized by the Iraq National Olympic Committee (INOC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, continues to solidify its position as one of the leading Muaythai federations in Asia.
In a momentous event, Aqeel Muften was re-elected as the President of the Iraq National Olympic Committee (INOC) last Saturday, following elections for the executive offices. Muften secured a resounding victory, winning with a majority of 37 votes. His platform, centered on continuity and progress, resonated with voters, ensuring the continuation of the growth of sports in Iraq, including Muaythai.
Additionally, the elections saw the appointment of seven new executive members, including Mustafa Jabbar Alak, a key member of IFMA and the FAMA Executive Board. His appointment is a testament to his invaluable contributions to Muaythai at both national and international levels.
This achievement is a significant milestone for the Iraqi Muaythai Federation, highlighting the success of President Aqeel Muften and his team’s efforts. The recognition and success of the federation also stand as a reflection of the hard work and commitment of all involved, including IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapuswan and FAMA President Abdullah, who congratulated Mr. Alak on his new role.
To commemorate this achievement, IFMA General Secretary Stephan presented a special token of recognition to Mr. Alak, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to the sport.
