
Delegates from around the world convened in Turkey for the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of IFMA 2025, marking another pivotal step in the ongoing evolution of Muaythai.


The assembly opened with a warm welcome from IFMA President, Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, who expressed gratitude to all National Federations for their dedication to developing Muaythai both nationally and globally. He highlighted IFMA’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the cultural and sporting values of Muaythai, as an IOC-recognized organization.

Setting the stage for productive discussions, IFMA Secretary General Stephan Fox delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of unity, good governance, and IFMA’s role in driving social impact.
Key highlights of the General Assembly included:
- Upcoming Event Presentations: IFMA Director General Charissa Tynan provided an overview of major upcoming events, ensuring delegates were informed of exciting developments in the Muaythai calendar.
- Announcements on Constitutional Changes: Delegates were briefed on key amendments, laying the foundation for the upcoming IFMA election and reinforcing the federation’s commitment to progress and transparency.




As the General Assembly concluded, Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan reaffirmed IFMA’s dedication to its athletes, stating: “Today’s assembly marks a pivotal step forward as we strengthen our structures, celebrate our most valuable assets—our athletes—and continue our commitment to ensuring IFMA Muaythai is safe, inclusive, and future-focused.”
