IFMA Celebrates International Day for Sport Development & Peace
April 6th is United Nations’ symbolic day for sport development and peace. We all believe that sport has a unique power. In football, the yellow and the red card as part of the game in order to keep the game fair. On April 6th each year however, the white card is the sign of commitment to peace. IFMA is proud of its long-time partnership with Peace & Sport under the high patronage of his serene highness Prince Albert the second. IFMA believes strongly in the Olympic values and above all in Olympic humanity. We are living in challenging times and today more than ever, with the current pandemic we need to stand together in unity. We must nurture the values of solidarity across the world, stand for equality, inclusion, and continue to foster and promote the positive values of sport. We need to stand together for a better world and a better tomorrow. In normal circumstances, it is the practice of sport which has brought us together physically. Now more than ever, this year’s white card campaign has spread a message of physically distant connectivity throughout the world of sport. The world has come together in solidarity, sharing their dreams and hopes for a better tomorrow on the social media networks and channels.
