The SportAccord Convention brings together the 1500 leaders of sport under 4 stakeholders including AIMS, ARISF, ASOIF and AWOIF. Muaythai is very fortunate to be an IOC recognized organization and a member of ARISF with Stephan Fox as the President of AIMS.
A big traditional SportAccord muaythai morning session with over 80 participants including many leaders of the world of sport in attendance took place with IFMA as the host.
IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, IFMA Director General, Charissa Tynan, former muaythai champion and Sport Director, Janice Lyn, were all in attendance to lead the participants.
The Sport Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund Manager, Khun Supranee Guptasa and certainly muaythai superstar, Buakaw Banchamek, all were part of this amazing mauythai workout to showcase and promote muaythai to the Olympic family.
The morning session finished in a spiritual way with 3 monks blessing all the delegates, everyone receiving a pair of gloves, t-shirts, shorts, and a certificate signed by the President of IFMA, Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan and AIMS President, Stephan Fox.
Let us continue to promote muaythai in the Olympic family.
