Hong Kong
Vuyisile COLOSSA wins WMC I-1 Muaythai Grand Xtreme
In an interview with muaythai.tv, Colossa explains his bout that won him the WMC-I1 championship title….
MUAYTHAITV: How did you defeat your opponents ?
Vuyisile COLOSSA: Kaponis, I just over powered him and won by TKO on the second round!
With Grad, it was a very hard fight because he was so tall and he has long limbs. I couldn’t KO him because of that and again his one of the good fighters coming up.
MUAYTHAITV: You were the favourite of the tournament. Were you confident of winning ?
Vuyisile COLOSSA: I think I was this time around but I had to confidently secure all the fights by perfoming better.
MUAYTHAITV: What do you think about your year 2011 ?
Vuyisile COLOSSA: It was a very good year for me: being in The Challenger Muaythai and winning WMC Muay Thai against drugs belt and I-1 belt , what a a wonderful year !
MUAYTHAITV: 2012 ?
Vuyisile COLOSSA: My aims for the next year is to get more belts ! Now I am just relaxing. Next fight in January 2012 !

Rumble Of The Kings 2011
The annual WMC sanctioned Rumble Of The Kings event in Stockholm is always a greatly awaited happening by fight fans across the globe. This year’s event was no different and the 9000 strong crowd at the Hovet Arena was treated to an absolutely amazing evening of supreme action.
The most spoken of match up prior to the event was the massive muaythai battle between the two superstar fighters former WMC world champion and Contender Asia champion Yodsenklai Fairtex from Thailand and European WMC champion Artur Kyshenko from the Ukraine. Both men received standing ovations from the expectant audience as they made their way in to the ring and the tension in the Hovet arena was thick as glue as the fight began. With a considerable height advantage Kyshenko initially tried his best to stay outside of reach of Yodsaenklai’s powerful left hook. “Yod” however managed to close the gap and while trading punches Kyshenko connected with a firm left hook of his own and moments later he landed it again visibly shaking “Yod” who impressively managed to withstand the following beating at the end of the round. The second looked like a clip from a Hollywood movie with rigid punches and kicks being thrown constantly both ways resulting in a mutually giving and receiving of rock solid attacks. The ring war continued in the third seeing both warriors in it unleashing more huge kicks and punches and in the last minute of the round a tired and unsteady “Yod” dropped his hands and let Kyshenko beat him immensely in hopes of finding a opportunity to land a knockout punch of his own. When the final bell rang the crowed once again stood up cheering and showing their appreciation for the absolutely spectacular fight. The unanimous decision came in favour for Artur Kyshenko who loudly and clearly relived shouted out “I am the best!” A clearly delighted Kychenko puts himself in the spot to fight for the WMC world title.
As expected in the WMC SUPERFIGHT -70Kg between Chahid Oulad El Hadj Vs Dzhabar Askerov, the two hard hitting veterans Chahid and Askerov wasted little time before engaging each other with wild striking combinations and kicks. Shots were traded between them with Askerov as the aggressor controlling the centre of the ring and Chadid countering with combinations. Two minutes in to the fight Askerov accidently kicked Chahid in the groin making the Marrocon fighter twist in agony on the canvass. When three minutes consisting of Chahid crawling on the mat had passed the referee gave Chahid a verbal warning that it was time to get up and fight but this only made Chahid twist and grunt even worse and so the referee started to count him out. Chahid did not stand up which resulted in an unsatisfactory TKO win for Dzhabar Askerov.
It can with ease be said that it was a fantastic night of first class action that lived up to all expectations and its theme “100 % forward”. A new Champion has been crowned, talent have prevailed over experience and stars have fought each other in battles that already have become classics. In other Words, it was a Rumble Of Kings!
Queensland
Evolution 25
Two time WMC world champion JWP beats Thai superstar Nonsai by split decision to put himself back in the WMC top ten.
On Saturday December 3 in Queensland at Evolution 25 after five rounds of fighting Nonsai of Thailand, who replaced injured Franki Giorgi, was defeated by John Wayne Parr via judges’ decision. Seemed to be a very close fight with the win went to Australian red corner. The crowd was very impressed by Wayne Parr’s extraordinary dancing during his entrance on the ring.
JWP originally meant to fight strong Frank Giorgi who had to pull out due to the injury receive at Thai Fight the weekend before. That was the second cancellation of JWP vs GIORGI. The first time they meant to fight in September but due to Wayne’s hand injury the fight was rescheduled for December.

IFMA World Champion Simon Marcus from Canada beats out Chinese champ earning his spot in the WMC top ten.
The WMC, the only recognised world body for professional muaythai sanctioned 36 events in November/December and is looking forward to an equally successful 2012!!
