The 2024 Youth World Championships in Thailand showcase the unifying spirit of sport, bringing together 93 national federations, refugee teams, and neutral athletes in a celebration of excellence, diversity, and camaraderie. Honored with the royal trophies of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, this championship stands as one of the largest youth sporting events globally, elevating its significance on the international stage.

With over 3,600 participants—including athletes, officials, and entourages—now in Bangkok, excitement builds for the Opening Ceremony at Paragon Hall. Esteemed representatives from the Olympic Movement, including the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, and other Olympic partners, will join in celebrating youth, athleticism, and global friendship.

Athletes from countries as far as New Zealand, Brazil, Morocco, Egypt, the USA, Madagascar, and Palestine have traveled over 30 hours to participate. Despite the long journey, their spirits remain high, thanks to the seamless hospitality from airport arrival to hotel check-in. A specially constructed Youth Gym, embodying the “One World, One Muaythai” philosophy, offers athletes from across the globe a unified space to train together, promoting solidarity and mutual respect.

IFMA leadership warmly welcomes the delegations, some bringing over 50 athletes, emphasizing the championship’s collaborative and inclusive nature. With participation from all-ability athletes and refugee teams, this event sends a powerful message of sport’s capacity to promote peace, understanding, and equality.
