The Saudi Games are the largest regional sporting event, with Muaythai being one of the most popular sports. Saudi Arabia, which hosted the 2023 World Combat Games, showcased full inclusivity for Muaythai, and the athletes once again demonstrated their true strength.
The event featured top-tier competitors vying for 2-million-dollar prize money, another milestone for muaythai, culminating in unforgettable contests. Ultimately, only one champion emerged.
In the male 57kg division, Albaraa Alamoudi claimed victory over Abdulaziz Bin Mubrad, earning $250,000 USD and the gold medal. Abdulaziz received $100,000 USD for silver, while bronze medalists Ziyad Alshalan and Abdullah Alshehry each took home $25,000 USD.
The female 54kg division highlighted the prowess of Saudi female athletes. IFMA World Champion Hattan Alsaif secured the gold medal and prize money by defeating Suha Alfar. The bronze medals were awarded to Aya En Noume and Dana Alghussain. Hattan is one of the Kingdom’s most outstanding female athletes, breaking barriers, setting records, and inspiring both men and women in Saudi Arabia.
In the male 75kg division, Raed Almostafa delivered an impressive performance to win gold and the first-place prize money. Fared Shawqi took silver, while Hamza Mohammed and Amer Alanazi claimed bronze.
The medals were presented by His Highness Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, Vice President of the Saudi National Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee, in the presence of Prince Fahad Bin Mansour bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud, IFMA Vice President.
