Muaythai Australia, the sole recognized muaythai federation under the Australian Government and Australian Sports Commission will hold their national championships in beautiful Gold Coast March 8-10th.
Newly elected Australian President Nick Atkins stated, “The Gold Coast is a perfect fit for the 2024 qualifications as it is Olympic Year with Paris only around the corner and Queensland, Brisbane hosting the 2032 Olympics.
Abby Nelson, the General Secretary of Muaythai Australia, further stated, “This year will be another important year with the Senior World Championships in Greece and Australia wants to qualify for the World Games 2025 in China and certainly the Youth World Championships coming back to the Motherland. Two major events for the Australian muaythai community.”
Many VIPs from the government and sports community will be coming to cheer on the athletes from all 5 states. Good luck to all participants!
