The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) was proud to participate in the recent webinar series on good governance hosted by the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS). This significant initiative concluded successfully, bringing together key stakeholders to advance the integrity and transparency of sport organisations worldwide.

Representing IFMA, Director General Charissa Tynan attended the webinar series, reaffirming the federation’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest standards of governance and ethical practices in sport. The webinars served as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration, focusing on strategies to combat corruption and foster accountability within the global sports movement.

The series featured a diverse range of expert speakers and panel discussions addressing critical issues such as financial integrity, transparency in decision-making processes, and the role of governance in safeguarding the future of sport. By participating in these discussions, IFMA demonstrated its proactive stance in contributing to collective efforts aimed at strengthening governance across all levels of sport.

“Good governance is not just a regulatory requirement but a cornerstone of trust and credibility in sport,” said Charissa Tynan. “Our participation in these webinars reflects IFMA’s dedication to embedding these principles into our organisational framework and inspiring the wider Muaythai community to follow suit.”

IFMA’s involvement in this webinar series aligns seamlessly with its commitment to promoting integrity, inclusivity, and sustainability in sport. As the sole recognised governing body for the art and sport of Muaythai, IFMA remains steadfast in its mission to lead by example and uphold the values that define fair play and transparency.

The federation extends its gratitude to IPACS and the organisers for creating a meaningful and engaging forum that empowers organisations to drive positive change. Through initiatives like this, IFMA looks forward to continuing its collaborative efforts to enhance governance and ensure that sport remains a powerful force for good in society.
