The International Federation (IF) Forum 2024 opened in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a strong focus on the future-readiness of International Federations. This year’s theme revolves around preparing sports bodies to meet emerging global challenges, including technological advancements, athlete well-being, and sustainability. IFMA is represented by Nadir Allouache, IFMA Executive Committee Member, and Charissa Tynan, IFMA Director General, who are actively participating in discussions. The opening ceremony included keynotes addressing digital leadership, integrity in sport, and anti-doping efforts, emphasising the importance of collaboration to future-proof sports governance.
The three-day event gathers over 425 delegates from various international sports federations, offering a platform for dialogue on how sports organisations can adapt to a rapidly changing landscape. Topics such as the integration of new technologies, safeguarding athletes, environmental sustainability, and the evolving regulatory environment will be explored in depth. This forum serves as a critical opportunity for sports leaders to share best practices and develop strategies that ensure the resilience and sustainability of their organisations.
