Over 400 fighters participated in the IFMA European Cup, which was jointly sanctioned by the European Muaythai Federation, and the Federation of Muaythai Asia, under IFMA.
Fighters came from 30 countries, both Asian and European, and for the Asian countries, this was a great pre-test for the upcoming 2nd Indoor Asian Games in Macau.
The beautiful town of Singen was the perfect location for the event as the fighters had perfect conditions for both training and competition, and the event was a perfect opportunity for all national coaches and members of the World Executive Board to hold meetings and workshops in preparation for the upcoming World Executive Board meeting, which will coincide with the biggest Muaythai event ever staged – this year’s IFMA World Championships, held in honour of His Majesty the King of Thailand’s 80th Birthday.
The event was organised by the German Muaythai Federation with the help of the Swiss Muaythai federation, and with continental and national organisations working so closely together, was yet another example of how closely the Muaythai world is working together under IFMA.
All pictures and results will be online soon.
