Incheon, the host city for the 2013 AIMAGs, sent a delegation which travelled to Saint Petersburg to meet with the leadership of IFMA and FAMA for a series of meetings and discussions and to get a glimpse of the organization of a first class event IFMA style, to prepare for 2013.
The President and the General Secretary of IFMA, the General Secretary of FAMA and the Technical Delegate for the games, Mr. Paiboon Srichaisawat, the Korean Muaythai Association and the Incheon Organizing Committee had lengthy meetings together to discuss all technical administrative and cultural aspects in the build-up for 2013. Their visit included a full tour of the stadium to draw comparisons with what will be done in Incheon.
The General Secretary for FAMA Mr. Mervyn Tan stated that he is very happy with the preparations and thanked the Incheon Organizing Committee and the KMTA for their help in promoting Muaythai and IFMA. The IFMA General Secretary Mr. Stephan Fox ensured the full support of the world governing body to make these games a success for the athletes, for the city of Incheon and the Olympic Council of Asia.
