A Full Display of Authentic Muaythai

The inclusion of Muaythai goes beyond competition. As a cultural cornerstone of Thailand, the sport’s authenticity will be fully represented with performances of Wai Khru, the ceremonial dance performed by athletes as a sign of respect, and live traditional music by a Pee Muay Band. Skilled performers will ensure that the Games not only highlight the athleticism of Muaythai but also celebrate its cultural richness.

Thailand has gone to great lengths to bring its authentic spirit to the Bolivarian Games. A dedicated team traveled over 30 hours from Bangkok to Peru, showcasing their commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience. This historic participation underscores the global expansion of Muaythai and its integration into major multi-sport games.

Muaythai’s Debut in a Landmark Event

With the participation of 13 National Olympic Committees, including the seven core members of the Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO) and invited countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, the Bicentennial Bolivarian Games promise to be a dynamic celebration of unity, culture, and sport.

The Muaythai competitions will follow the high standards set by IFMA, ensuring excellence in both technical performance and cultural presentation. This inclusion not only reflects the sport’s growth but also its alignment with the core values of the Bolivarian Games: friendship, respect, and cultural exchange.

As Muaythai takes center stage in yet another historic milestone, the world will witness the enduring legacy and vibrant spirit of this ancient sport, ensuring it remains a highlight of the 2024 Bicentennial Bolivarian Games.
