Twenty countries participated in the 2023 Mediterranean General Assembly held in the birthplace of the Olympics, Greece.
MMU President, Davide Carlot, welcomed all the members to this important meeting. The meeting started with a minute of silence and the MMU President stated that muaythai will always stand and contribute towards peace building efforts and muaythai will always stand for respect and building bridges. Muaythai will mourne with those who lost their friends, whose lives are deeply shattered and the muaythai community will always stand together in our collective hope towards peace and a better tomorrow.
The meeting then continued with the reports of the 2023 Mediterranean Games, the 2023 World Combat Games and the continued cooperation of the MMU members as part of the IFMA family.
