The 3rd Asian Youth Games officially began with a powerful symbol of unity and pride—the Flag Raising Ceremony held at Exhibition World Bahrain. Delegations from 45 nations and territories across Asia gathered to witness their flags rise high, marking the start of a new chapter in youth sport and cultural exchange.

In an atmosphere charged with excitement, anticipation, and true sportsmanship, the ceremony welcomed over 8,000 young athletes who have arrived in Manama to compete across 26 sports at more than 20 venues. Among them are the Muaythai youth teams, making history as the sport debuts at the Asian Youth Games.

The Flag Raising Ceremony was more than tradition—it was a celebration of identity, inclusion, and the dreams of a generation. As each flag ascended, it carried the hopes of athletes, coaches, and communities who believe in the power of sport to inspire and transform.

IFMA proudly joins the Olympic Council of Asia and the Bahrain Olympic Committee in welcoming all delegations. We look forward to witnessing unforgettable moments, fierce competition, and friendships forged through shared values of respect, excellence, and unity.

This is where the youth of Asia come together. This is where legacies begin. Welcome to Bahrain. Welcome to the Games.
