IFMA Director Ms. Charissa Tynan took part in the first coordination meeting of the 2022 edition of the FISU University World Cups, Yekaterinburg, Russia.

The Local Organising Committee from the first minutes showed why Russia has been awarded the top level sports events, giving the full briefing of the venues, hosting facilities, hotels, field of play and cultural side of the old city of Yekaterinburg.

Muaythai will share the programme with 5 more sports: Boxing, Karate, Wrestling, Sambo, Wushu. Such a narrow circle of sports truly makes the games special and for Muaythai again shows how much attention it attracts worldwide, and especially in Russia which boasts multiple world champions both among men and women.

Work has started and two years to go to see a hot autumn from September 29 to October 8 where rings and tatamis will bend under kicks, punches and throws of the combat sports athletes in Yekaterinburg.
