IFMA and the WMC, the sole recognised muaythai organisation by the International Olympic Committee organised an important referee and judge seminar in the United Arab Emirates this week.
The UAE Muaythai Federation under the chairmanship of His Excellency Abdullah Al Neyadi and the sole recognised federation in UAE by the National Olympic Committee and the Sports Council organised this important seminar to ensure the continued wellbeing and safety of the athletes.
The seminar was headed by ITO Gunter Plank, Doctor Erdogan Aydin and the Head Referee of UAE Omar Mohamed. The 3 day seminar covered the important aspects for the health and well-being of the athletes from medial check to weigh in and the importance of the protection of the athletes on and off the field of play.
The CEO and Director of UAE Muaythai, Tareq Al Mehairi stated that muaythai in the United Arab Emirates strictly follows the Olympic movement and this is why the importance of the continuation of these seminars is paramount.
Gunter Plank, the Head of the European Technical Officials stated that this weekend will see another important fight night in Dubai with athletes from around 20 countries and it was fantastic to use this opportunity before the event to refresh and continue to develop the standard of the technical officials in the region
