
The atmosphere inside Thai Nguyen Sports Center reached a new peak as Day 4 of the Asian Muaythai Championships 2025 crowned its U23 champions. Athletes from Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Turkmenistan, UAE, Kazakhstan, India, Hong Kong, and Australia gave it their all—with national pride and gold on the line.

With fans and families roaring from the stands, Team Vietnam delivered a standout performance, clinching 9 gold medals and once again proving the power of home-ground spirit. The UAE followed closely behind with an impressive 5 golds, showcasing their rising talent in the U23 divisions.

Among the top female performances:
In the U23 45kg division, Vietnam’s Mai Hoang Khanh stood tall in a razor-close match against the Philippines’ Rhichein Yosorez. The crowd held their breath as both fighters traded strikes and strategy in a bout that went down to the wire. Ultimately, Khanh’s resilience gave her the edge by the slimmest of margins.

Kazakhstan’s Dayana Duisengali dominated the U23 48kg division, showcasing power and precision to defeat Malaysia’s Eva Anatasia Warren in a commanding performance.

The men’s category brought equal intensity:

UAE’s Mohamed Jafleh and Kazakhstan’s Dossakhmet Kurmangali delivered a barnburner in what became one of the most talked-about fights of the day. With every weapon of Muaythai on display, it was Jafleh who edged out the win—barely.

Turkmenistan’s Ibrahim Bäshimov delivered a career-best showing, halting UAE’s Yassin Karimi in Round 2 with clinical strikes and unshakeable composure.

And in the U23 54kg division, Malaysia’s Wassof Bin Rumijam left no doubt as he outpointed Kazakhstan’s Abdu Rakhman Abishev in all three rounds, securing a decisive 30-27 victory.
