Ekaterinburg, February 2025 — From February 17 to 22, 2025, Ekaterinburg will be the epicenter of Muaythai excellence as it hosts the 30th Anniversary National Muaythai Championship. Now in its third decade, this prestigious event celebrates the sport’s rich heritage and dynamic future in Russia. The Russian Muaythai Federation—the sole recognized federation in Russia by the National Olympic Committee and Ministry of Sports and one of the founding members of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA)—is proud to present the nation’s premier yearly competition, returning after a pandemic-induced hiatus.
Event Venue and Legacy
The championship will be held at DIVS Uralochka Arena, a venue famed for hosting elite sporting events including the World Boxing Forum, World Karate Championship, and European Judo Championship. Situated on Olympiyskaya Embankment 3 in the heart of Ekaterinburg, the arena will once again be the stage for this landmark event.
A Showcase of National Talent
Over 500 of Russia’s best athletes—qualified through rigorous regional and national competitions involving more than 20,000 competitors—will come together to display their skills over five action-packed days. Among the elite contenders are celebrated champions such as:

- Maria Klimova (Moscow)
- Gadzhi Medzhidov (Kizlyar)
- Azlan Zikreev (Kemerovo)

The championship will kick off on February 17 with a spectacular opening ceremony featuring distinguished guests, including Governor E. Kuyvashev, Minister L. Rapoport, and a Deputy Minister of Sport from the Russian Olympic Committee.

Path to Global Glory
This championship serves as the final qualifier for the IFMA World Championships. The winners will advance to the World Championships in Antalya, Turkey, in May 2025, where they will aim for gold.
