The beautiful Sheikha Fatima Park will host the 6th edition of the “Thai Festival” in spectacular Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates from the 16th to the 18th of February. The event focalizes on showcasing the unique Thainess; promoting Thai culture, cuisine, products, and the Thai way of life to the visitors.

As with the previous editions, muaythai, through the organization of IFMA the world governing body and the UAE Muaythai Federation, will be part of the festivities. Through demonstrations of the cultural richness and diversity in cultural performances, the many market stalls with authentic Thai foods and products, Thailand will bring the Kingdom to the UAE. His Excellency the Ambassador, HE Sorayut Chasombat, with his inspiring hardworking team has put together a, what will be, a tantalizing 3-day festival.

UAE, which is one of the worlds muaythai powerhouses, and who hosted an unforgettable World Championship in 2022, will again play a major part in providing muaythai performances of wai kru, mae muay, combat, and much more.

HE Abdullah Saeed Amer Al Neyadi, who is not only the President of the UAE Muaythai Federation but also the President of the Asian Muaythai Federation FAMA, said that the promotion and cooperation with the motherland is crucial to not only promoting muaythai values but also the Olympic values.

IFMA Executive Board Member and CEO of UAE Muaythai Federation, Tareq Almhairi, added that the close cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy over the last year has been more than productive, and the UAE Muaythai Federation is honored and excited to be, once again, together with IFMA, present at this festival.

The IFMA Director General, Ms. Charissa Tynan, further stated that this year IFMA has an intensive calendar as it is an Olympic year, and this festival will be used to not only promote the Kingdom of Thailand and the close relationship with UAE, but also muaythai around the world.
