Sparks were flying this Saturday the 25th of March on the Gold Coast in Australia as Coastal Warfare returned to the Banana Bender Pub for an evening of muaythai action. The event which celebrated its 24th edition pulled out all the stops to host a WMC mini-flyweight world title between homegrown hero Kim Townsend and Thailand’s Namwhan Sor Kongkraphan.
The pair came out guns blazing from the first bell with both athletes showing incredible hearts. In round 3 both contenders really picked up the pace and engaged in an elbow war with Kim eventually winning by putting an early stop to the contest.
The WMC would like to congratulate Kim and the entire team at Coastal Warfare for putting together another world-class event.
