The IFMA Youth World Championships 2025 officially began with a breathtaking Opening Ceremony at the iconic Space 42 Muaythai Arena in Abu Dhabi, setting the tone for ten days of competition, cultural exchange, and global unity.

With over 2,000 athletes, coaches, and officials from more than 100 countries, the arena came alive as delegations proudly marched in, waving their national flags and embodying the core values of Muaythai: respect, honor, tradition, excellence, and fair play.

The ceremony opened with a dazzling showcase of Emirati heritage, featuring the traditional Ayala dance, rhythmic drumming, and vibrant cultural performances. This tribute to the UAE’s rich traditions and hospitality served as a powerful symbol of the global unity within the IFMA World Muaythai Family.

The highlight of the evening was the parade of athletes of all abilities, filling the arena with cheers, smiles, and boundless energy. The atmosphere was electric as the next generation of nak muay celebrated their pride and unity under the banner of “One World, One Muaythai.”

In their opening addresses, VIP speakers emphasized that this championship is not just about medals—it is about protecting and promoting Olympic values, and fostering inclusion, equality, and non-discrimination through the art and sport of Muaythai.

Oath Ceremony

The ceremonial oaths were delivered by representatives from across the Muaythai community:

  • Athletes: Ahmed Mohammed Alfath A Zaki from Sudan, joined by a Special Athlete Wadima abdulla alkhoori from the UAE and Para Athlete Mamatkulov Murodjon from Uzbekistan
  • Coach: Daniel Paredes from Peru
  • Referee: Mohamed Salem Almehdar from UAE

Their words echoed the spirit of unity, integrity, and mutual respect that defines IFMA’s mission.
