August 15th marks the Independence Day and the establishment of a free and independent Indian nation. Independence Day is marked throughout India with ceremonies and the singing of the Indian national anthem. The sport of muauthai has an ancient history and is an integral part of today’s modern and diverse society. A special ceremony took place between the IFMA leadership and the Indian National Muaythai Youth Team and President Prasinjit Singh and Secretary General, Dr.Shri Ram Choudhary, IFMA Honorary President congratulated our Indian National Federation and the close partnership built on respect and shared values.

Vice President of GAISF, Stephan Fox, praised the Indian Youth Team for being outstanding Ambassadors for India on and off the field of play, wishing our Indian friends continued health, peace and prosperity. The Secretary General of FAMA, Mervyn Tan, “today we let our spirits fly high with all our Indian family and the Indian flag.” He sent all his wishes on behalf of all FAMA countries in Asia and special wishes were made from his Excellency Abdullah Al Neyadi, FAMA President, who he stated, “FAMA is proud to have the Indian Muaythai Federation as their member.”
