Some 350 Athlete Representatives from 185 National Olympic Committees, 50 International Federations, the International Para Olympic Committee, the World Anti-doping Agency and the World Olympians Association met for 3 days in Lausanne for an important forum.
The IOC President opened the forum in an emotional speech and many important decisions were made over the week.
IFMA, which is the sole body for the art and sport of Muaythai, recognized by the IOC, was represented by the Chair of the IFMA Athletes Commission, Janice Lyn. Janice stated that all recommendations which were unanimously supported in the closing conference will now be taken back to IFMA for full implementation. Janice stated that she was not only inspired by the many athletes from around the world promoting and living the Olympic Values but also the opening speech of IOC President from the Heart of the Athletes.
Beside the conference, a tour through the historic Olympic Museum was organized leaving the past and looking towards the future.
