During these unprecedented times, the world has been inspired by athletes around the globe, channelling their energy and positivity towards staying healthy and active. Athletes across a multitude of sports and disciplines have been helping fans get through the crisis by sharing their daily workouts as well as tips for staying healthy in body and mind during lockdown.
The #muaythaiconnects initiative launched in the early days of the lockdown was IFMA’s way to encourage social connectivity and physical activity in times of physical distancing. Building on this extraordinary momentum, it seems it has been the perfect springboard for us to jump in to this year’s Olympic Day online celebration. This year, the Olympic Movement will celebrate Olympic Day 2020 by creating the world’s largest 24 hour digital-first Olympic workout.
IFMA is proud to be part of the Olympic Movement and to have engaged muaythai practitioners for the online workout again showing that muaythai never stops regardless of the challenges the world faces.
IFMA athletes are again joining the Olympic Day to celebrate unity in diversity and peace sport can bring all around the world.
In the lead-up to Olympic Day, the Olympic Channel is preparing a brand-new home workout video made by Olympic athletes. IFMA athletes and fans have a chance to train alongside Olympic champions and reach out to the Olympians around the world.
