The arena was packed again at the IFMA Muaythai University World Cup, under patronage of FISU. There were many exciting bouts and many fights receive standing ovations for world-class performances. Team Thailand came back with strong support after losing on day 1, taking some important decision with wins over Russia, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, and Turkey. Despite coming away with impressive wins, they lost the main fight of the day, which was the female fight, one of the best fights of the day, against France.
Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Poland, Israel, Morocco, and Belarus all had athletes who advanced to the next round. The ring is free for day 3, the quarterfinal day which will bring the athletes closer to medal standings, and everyone is looking forward to another electrifying evening of competition.
