IFMA and the muaythai world congratulates Svetlana Vinnikova named as Athlete of the Month by The World Games organisation.

IFMA has been a strong supporter of The World Games since becoming a member, and last year muaythai athletes from around the world had the opportunity to take part in their first The World Games in Wroclaw, Poland. It was a hugely exciting event, and a great experience for all involved.

Every month the IWGA chooses an athlete who represents the spirit of The World Games to highlight.

IFMA Muaythai Secretary General Stephan Fox says: “Svetlana won at The World Games in the first year Muaythai athletes had this opportunity, and as the first to win gold, she will be an inspiration for generations of young athletes in Russia. She is already teaching women’s only classes in Moscow, and no doubt we will see future stars shining in the ring because of her example.”

Svetlana was excited to hear she was chosen as The World Games Athlete of the Month: “This is the exact result of all the hard work by me and my coach! The award motivates me to become even better and stronger!”
