The Antalya International Open Cup 2026 came to a successful close yesterday, bringing together the global Muaythai family for four days of high-level competition, cultural exchange, and sporting excellence.

Hosted in the vibrant setting of Antalya, the event welcomed over 400 athletes from 25 countries, competing across both Muaythai combat and cultural disciplines, from youth divisions through to Masters. With two rings running simultaneously, the venue delivered non-stop action, showcasing the depth and diversity of talent across all age groups.
From the opening bouts to the final rounds, the competition highlighted the truly global reach of Muaythai. Young athletes demonstrated exceptional promise, while experienced competitors delivered technical, high-intensity performances, reflecting the sport’s continued growth and development worldwide.

The medal standings reflected both strong home support and international competitiveness. Türkiye topped the overall standings, leading the medal table with an impressive 149 total medals, followed by Kazakhstan in second place and Hungary in third.

Kazakhstan stood out with a particularly high win rate, underlining their efficiency and technical strength across divisions, while several nations including Estonia, Belgium, and Spain delivered notable performances and podium finishes.
Across the brackets, standout performances emerged in multiple categories. In the youth divisions, athletes such as Ruslan Raimkulov (KAZ) and Hlib Hurzhyi (EST) claimed strong victories, highlighting the next generation of Muaythai talent.
The event also saw exciting international matchups, including wins from athletes representing Mexico, Kyrgyz Republic, and across Europe, reinforcing the global competitiveness of the sport at every level.
Beyond the medals, the Antalya Open Cup once again demonstrated the unique spirit of Muaythai — combining sport, culture, and unity. The inclusion of cultural disciplines alongside combat ensured a full representation of Muaythai’s heritage, with athletes not only competing, but also sharing traditions and values.
With strong participation, high-level organisation, and an electric atmosphere throughout, the Antalya Open Cup 2026 stands as another important milestone in the international Muaythai calendar.
A special note of appreciation goes to the Turkish Muaythai Federation for their outstanding efforts in hosting this event.
